Educators Skydive for Charity

Julitta Uliver Romaniuk and Chloe Boughton recently jumped for education in order to raise funds for a charity close to their hearts and professions, Choice 2 Change. Choice 2 Change founder, Eva Kernova, is based in Dubai and is committed to changing the lives of children in the Dhaka slums by breaking the cycle of poverty through education. The non-profit organisation provides children with a safe learning environment using the British curriculum, meals and daily healthcare.

When asked why they chose to skydive to raise funds for this charity they said “we want to spread awareness of the amazing work being done by this charity and sometimes it takes making a big step, or jump in our case, to get people’s attention. In Dubai, so many people are blessed with high quality education and as educators ourselves we truly believe every child has a right to education.”

They said the sky dive itself was a truly amazing and unforgettable experience and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be a little bit adventurous. “We would like to thank everyone who came down and supported us and to our amazing sponsor Experient, we are absolutely delighted with the funds we have raised and know how greatly appreciated the donation is”.

CROCS MIDDLE EAST VISITED C2C Elementary School Dhaka

6 personnel from Crocs Middle East visited our schools for two days in May to spend their time with the students and see the slums they live in. They have organised play day on Friday where they enjoyed all the activities with our students. They sponsored ice cream and cake for the children after the activities . The Crocs Middle East initiative has been initiated by the HR Manager, Laura Quirke who visited our children last year and came back for the third time this May. The personnel paid for their own tickets and 2 tickets were sponsored by Etihad Airways. Crocs are very supportive in donating shoes for our students’ uniforms in 2014, and have also provided us with many requested stationary items in the past few months. They recently donated 150 scissors and paper for our schools and during their trip they brought 240 kg of in kind donations.
